Profile:

His research interests include natural language processing, machine learning and data mining. He is now a teacher of the School of Computer Science of Chengdu University of Information Engineering, and once served as the vice dean of the School of Computer Science, software development engineer of Amazon. com and senior researcher of Lenovo Chengdu Research Institute. Reserve candidate for academic and technical leader of Sichuan Province, Chengdu Distinguished Expert, and person in charge of scientific research and innovation team of colleges and universities in Sichuan Province.

Dr. Feng Ao studied at Tsinghua University from 1995 to 2001. He obtained a bachelor's degree in automation in 1999 and a master's degree in pattern recognition and intelligent systems in 2001. From 2001 to 2008, he studied in the Computer Department of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, engaged in research in information retrieval models, topic detection and tracking and other fields, and obtained master's and doctoral degrees in computer science. After graduation, he successively worked in Amazon and Lenovo Chengdu Research Institute, mainly engaged in academic research and application development in the field of data mining. In 2015, he joined Chengdu University of Information Engineering, mainly engaged in machine learning, natural language processing and other research.

He has rich academic research and engineering practice experience. During his study in the United States, he worked with his colleagues to create a new research field (Incident Threading), and his representative papers were cited for more than 300 times; During his work in Amazon and Lenovo, he presided over and participated in several major projects, and some of the projects increased their annual revenue by more than 10 million yuan; He has won 9 Chinese invention patents, and was selected into the Chengdu High level Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talent Plan (long-term innovation plan) in 2012. In 2018, he became the backup candidate for academic and technical leaders in Sichuan Province.
