Computer science and technology is a state featured major, and is one of the first to participate in the Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program of the Ministry of Education. The computer science and technology major trains students to be qualified engineering and technical personnel with cultivation of humanistic quality, knowledge engineering, business ability to coordinate the development, to meet the needs of industry and society.

Students should have good accomplishment and professional moral standards, with strong social responsibility and sense of dedication; should have strong communication and cooperation ability, and can play a good role in a team; have the ability of autonomous learning and have a correct understanding of lifelong learning, and can continuously update their knowledge through lifelong learning, to develop their personal skills; ability to work and performance can be recognized by the working unit or organization.
