Computer Science and Technology

Major Summary

The computer science and technology major is a state featured major, and is one of the first to participate in the Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program of the Ministry of Education. The computer science and technology undergraduate major includes two directions: computer application, and computer engineering.

Computer science and technology major train students to be qualified engineering and technical personnel with cultivation of humanistic quality, knowledge engineering, business ability to coordinate the development, to meet the needs of industry and society. After graduation, students can reach the following requirements after 5 years of practical work and study:

Computer application direction: Students should master and apply the basic knowledge of natural science, theoretical computer science, knowledge of computer software system and its application in engineering, with certain problem analysis and problem solving ability, and can undertake or participate in complex software systems analysis, design, development and testing.

Computer engineering direction: Students should master and apply the basic knowledge of natural science, theoretical computer science, knowledge of computer software and hardware system and its application in engineering, with certain problem analysis and problem solving ability, and can undertake or participate in embedded system software and applied software systems analysis, design, development and operational maintenance work.

Students should have good accomplishment and professional moral standards, with strong social responsibility and sense of dedication; should have strong communication and cooperation ability, and can play a good role in a team; have the ability of autonomous learning and have a correct understanding of lifelong learning, and can continuously update their knowledge through lifelong learning, to develop their personal skills; ability to work and performance can be recognized by the working unit or organization.

Digital Media Technology

Major Summary

The major is one of the first granted digital media technology in Sichuan Province. The digital media technology major participates in the Ministry of Education-Autodesk Inc. comprehensive professional reform program, and is one of the first in the Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program of Sichuan province.

The major considers professional game programming as the main line to train students to be the compound senior engineering and technical personnel with good programming skills, having a certain artistic accomplishment, and focusing on the application of computer technology to show creative culture.
